Accessible Event Information

Council are making every effort to ensure our events are accessible and enjoyable for all. 

Please be aware the event and parking areas are located on sometimes uneven grass paddocks. 

More information to follow closer to the event. 

Facilities

Toilets – There will be accessible temporary/portable toilets available throughout the event site

Water - There will be a hydration station onsite with taps and water bubblers. It is recommended that you bring a water bottle to fill up and stay hydrated throughout the day.

Seating - The Mayor's Party in the Park is an outdoor event. A limited number of tables and chairs will be available throughout. Patrons are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket to the event.   

Chill Out Space - There are a lot of noises and people who attend the event. The Chill Out Space is a marquee located adjacent to the information marquee where you can go to experience an environment with lesser noise and activity. This safe, accessible and inclusive space is perfect for children and adults wanting to seek some calm

The space will include sensory play objects, located away from loud noises. It’s a safe environment that allows patrons to explore and interact without risk.

Getting to the event  

There are a variety of ways to get to the Mayor’s Party in the Park including: 

Public Transport – Bus number 771, 790, 789 and 791 stop on Cranbourne-Frankston Road outside of Cruden Farm. 777 stops outside Peninsula Private Hospital which is a short walk away. The closest train station is Frankston Train Station with connections via bus numbers 790, 791 and 789 to the event site. Please visit www.ptv.vic.gov.au to plan your journey. 

Driving – If you are driving to the event, entry is via Cranhaven Road and McClelland Drive. To ease congestion, you will only be able to access Cranhaven Road via the Franskston-bound lanes of Cranbourne-Frankston Road, turning left into Cranhaven Road. The right turning lane from the Cranbourne direction of Cranbourne-Frankston Road will be closed

Once you have entered the site, please follow all directions of traffic controllers as they guide you to a specific car parking space. 

Drop Off - If you are arriving via rideshare or taxi to the event and require a drop off location close to the festival, you can enter as a pedestrian on Cranbourne Road (near the bus stop) and Cranhaven road. 

Walking – if you park outside of the event site or are walking from home, pedestrian access is via Cranbourne Road and Cranhaven road only.
